This annual tournament for Amateur women is a feature of the Asian Golf Calendar and was held at Glenelg GC in Adelaide, South Australia this year. 14 Asia Pacific countries compete, and past winners like Karrie Webb have featured well on the Professional stage in later years. Some of the participating amateurs are already on handicaps of +7, so the competition is very intense.

Played in teams of three representing their country, our own junior Meva Helina Schmit was honoured to be selected for the Indonesian team. Whilst Indonesia did not fare well in the event absolutely dominated by Thailand (surprise, surprise), Meva finished the event with a very creditable round of 72, and was the best of the Indonesian team.

Well done Meva! (Centre)
